Support Desk

Support Desk Staff are available three days a week for providing general information and consultations on various problems of daily life.

Office Hours:   Monday, Wednesday & Friday  9:30-17:30 (lunch break 12:00-13:00)

These time slots are offered on a first-come, first served basis for IPMUers and their dependent family members at the JISTEC support desk located on the 2nd floor of the IPMU building.  Please note the support staff might be away from the desk for emergency response or other appointments.

Anna Hamakoji and Keiko Nishikawa will be attending on a rotation schedule.  Please check the calendar to confirm who is attending and is available. Also please notice that the attending person or/and schedule may change at short notice.

AXA provides information about hospitals and clinics that provide medical treatment in English.  Information includes such as opening hours, language availability, departments or medicines available, and contact information.

AXA also notifies related parties when you are involved in accidents and maintain communication with the police, fire departments, and ambulance service.

(*) Regionally limited area: A destination within a 1-hour round-trip of Kashiwa campus or Tsukuba TX station.

Accompaniment to Hospital (Only during the Regular Hours)

If you have to go to a hospital/clinic that has no English speaking doctors, JISTEC support staff might be available to accompany you within the regionally limited area.  Also, in case the doctor asks you to return with a translator and you can make a reservation within the standard hours/days, JISTEC staff might be able to come to the hospital/clinic to support you.
