The BCS prize to Kavli IPMU research building.

Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe(Kavli IPMU)

The 53rd BCS (Building Contractor Society) prize was awarded to Kavli IPMU research building at The University of Tokyo, Kashiwa campus among 15 other architectural structures. 
The BCS prize was established on 1960 by the Japanese Federation of Construction Contractors under a principle that it is important to have good construction skills as well as outstanding design in order to produce distinguished buildings and, for that purpose, the cooperation among three parties, namely owner, designer and contractor is essential. The prize is awarded annually.
The award ceremony will take place on Nov20, 2012 at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, Japan.
