KamLAND-ZEN
KamLAND-Zen searches for a possible conversion of anti-matter (anti-neutrino) to matter (neutrino) in a very rare prcoess called neutrinoless double beta decays. It introduces Xenon-136 gas into the sensitive detector volume of the world’s largest liquid scintillator detector KamLAND (hence the name KamLAND-Zen).
XMASS
XMASS (Xenon Massive Detector for Dark Matter) is a detector consisting of one-ton liquid Xenon and conducts a direct search for the dark matter that is thought to pervade our Milky Way Galaxy.
