Yoji Totsuka Memorial Prize to Masataka Fukugita & Tsutomu Yanagida

The 2012 Yoji Totsuka Memorial Prize has been awarded to Masataka Fukugita, a professor from ICRR (Univiersity of Tokyo, Institute for Cosmic Ray Reserach) and Joint Appointments Principal Investigator at IPMU, and Tsutomu Yanagida, a professor at IPMU for "pointing out a mechanism to generate cosmological baryon number violation originated by lepton".

The award ceremony is held on 18 Mar 2012 at Koshiba Hall  in the Univiersity of Tokyo.

The Yoji Totsuka  Prize has been awarded annually since 2010 by the Heisei Foundation for Basic Science (President:Masatoshi Koshiba).
