LiteBIRD is a next generation of cosmic microwave background (CMB) polarization satellite that is dedicated to probe the inflationary B-mode. The science goal of LiteBIRD is to measure the tensor-to-scalar ratio with the sensitivity of σr = 0.001. In this way, we test the major large-single-field slow-roll inflation models. The expected launch year is in mid 2020s and the world-wide CMB community, including the US, Canada, and Europe, has joined to this endeavor. The Kavli IPMU is in charge of the key instrument, polarization modulator, of the telescope system as well as delivering the science.
