Upon Hiring

Full-time employees of the University of Tokyo, and part-time employees who work 30 or more hours a week are required to take a health checkup upon employment.  However, if you have had a checkup in the previous 3 months that satisfies checkup items that the University of Tokyo designates, you can be exempt from taking this checkup by submitting a copy of the result to Administrative Office.  Please make a reservation by yourself from this site. Annual Health Checkup

Full-time employees and part-time employees who work 30 or more hours a week are required to undergo annual health checkup once a year, and other specially scheduled occasions, in accordance with the Industry Safety and Health Law and Regulation, and the work regulations of the University of Tokyo.  More details regarding this checkup will be given to you from Team IPMU.

If you deal with radidation, toxic, hazardous or explosive substances at work, you have to take health checkups for "Engaged in Specified Work" twice a year (at regular health checkup time).
 

Health Checkup for Employees Dispatched Overseas

University employees planning to travel overseas for 6 months or longer, and after returning from having been overseas for 6 months or longer have to take health checkups in a timely fashion.  You will be informed with further instruction.
