Wireless Network Service

Kavli IPMU provides the following WiFi (Wireless) network services to visitors at the Kavli IPMU building and the Kashiwa Research Complex 2.

1. UTokyo WiFi
   Only those who have an UTokyo WiFi account can use this network.
   UTokyo Students, Faculties, Staffs can use the campus academic information services (e.g., e-Journal) on UTokyo WiFi.
   The user of UTokyo WiFi must take the Information Security Education and pass the test.
   UTokyo WiFi is secure network and filtered by the campus security firewall.
2. eduroam
   Only those who have an eduroam account can use this network.
   UTokyo doesn't provide the campus academic information services for eduroam. eduroam network in UTokyo is filtered by the campus security firewall and the same setting on UTokyo WiFi.
3. UTokyo-Guest
   For those who do not have both accounts, the network of SSID "UTokyo-Guest" can be used by registration from mobile phones.
       The network service is provided by SoftBank on the campus facilities. Please refer the guide for UTokyo-Guest (English language only).
