Kavli IPMU Internal rules for the management of email address

Steering Committee decision on September 28, 2021 

(Purpose) 

Article 1

The following articles defines an internal rule on the necessary matters for the management of email addresses provided to members of the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (henceforth "the Organization"), the University of Tokyo (henceforth "the Organization's email address").

(Definition) 

Article 2 

The Organization email address subject to this internal rule is a user name linked to the Organization's domain name (@ipmu.jp).

(Acquisition of the Organization email address) 

Article 3  

The Organization email address is defined as an alias of the ECCS Cloud Email address of the University of Tokyo (domain name: @g.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp) given when the Organization members acquire a UTokyo Account.

(Operation policy of the Organization email address) 

Article 4  

The operation policy regarding using the Organization's email address shall follow the operation policy for the ECCS Cloud Email.

(Expiration of the Organization email address) 

Article 5  

The Organization's email address expires at the same time when the user loses his or her UTokyo account of the University of Tokyo and the ECCS Cloud Email address. The user can change settings to forward emails sent to the Organization email address to another email address before the expiration, and continue to read emails sent to the Organization email address for 180 days after the expiry.

Article 6 

The Organization IT team will handle the affairs necessary for the operation of the Organization's email address.

(Supplementary rule) 

Article 7 

In addition to the rules defined above, other necessary matters regarding managing the Organization's email addresses shall be stipulated separately.

 

Supplementary rules 

1 These rules shall become effective on October 4, in 2021.
