Bruno Pontecorvo Prize to Serguey Petcov

The Prestigious 2010 Bruno Pontecorvo Prize has been awarded to Serguey Petcov, a professor from SISSA (Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati at Trieste and Joint Appointments researcher at IPMU, for his fundamental contribution to the investigation of neutrino propagation in matter, mu --> e + gamma, mu --> 3e processes and Majorana properties of neutrinos.

The Bruno Pontecorvo Prize has been awarded annually since 1995 by the Joint Institute dor Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Moscow to scientists who have achieved outstanding results in the field of particle physics.
