Shunsaku Nagasawa Receives the School of Science Encouragement Award (Master program)

The thesis titled “Exploring Magnetic Energy Release in Solar Flares from High-Resolution Observation with Photon-Counting X-ray Detectors,” by Shunsaku Nagasawa, a second-year master’s student in the Department of Physics of the Graduate School of Science, the University of Tokyo, has been selected among the recipients of the School of Science Encouragement Award (Master program). Nagasawa has been conducting research as a graduate student at the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU), the University of Tokyo, under the guidance of Kavli IPMU Principal Investigator and Professor Tadayuki Takahashi.
