The University of Tokyo International Lodge, Kashiwa Lodge
This lodge is for students and researchers from abroad. It’s located between IPMU and Kashiwanoha Campus Station (Tsukuba Express), and it takes 10 minute walk from IPMU. This lodge is furnished with minimum home appliances. Monthly utility bills including internet access is charged in flat-rate.
Mitsui Garden Hotel Kashiwa-no-ha (Serviced Apartment)
Apartment-style room. A kitchen, furniture and home appliances in the room. It takes about 2 minute walk from Kashiwanoha campus station west exit.
2. Around Tsukuba Station (* Car is a necessity.)
Ninomiya House
25 minute walk away from Tsukuba Station (5 minute walk from the nearest bus-stop). 1LK(34㎡ /76,000yen rent) or 1LDK(63㎡ /100,000yen), all furnished with electric appliances. The period of occupancy is from 15 days to 5 years. *Utilities and community facility fee are not included in the rent.
*When you move out of your room, you will be responsible for arranging and paying for a cleaning service.
3. Tokyo Metropolitan
Elite-In Yushima
It takes about one hour to get to Kashiwa campus but, is close to the University of Tokyo main campus in Hongo. From Yushima station, it’s only 2 minute walk. It is located right next to the Yushima Shrine and also is full-service like a hotel. No deposit or key money. Monthly rent for a single room (25㎡) is 170,000yen or more, for a two person room (40㎡) it is 270,000yen or more including gas, water, and internet services. Only electric charges are billed at cost.
