The Minister of State for Special Missions Yosuke Tsuruho Visits Kavli IPMU

On November 11, 2016 Minister of State for Special Missions and Minister of State for Science and Technology Yosuke Tsuruho visited the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU).

As host to Minister Tsuruho, Kavli IPMU Director Hitoshi Murayama introduced the institution and its research, including the work being done at the SuMIRe project courtesy of the Funding Program for World-leading Innovative R&D on Science and Technology (FIRST), the World Premiere International Research Center Initiative (WPI), and the applications and technologies derived from the research.

Minister Tsuruho was able to join, and be impressed by, Tea Time at the institute’s Fujiwara Plaza, where researchers from around the world engage in free discussions daily from three o’clock.
