This coming June 12, 2022, the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU) invites you to our upcoming screening of M.C. Escher - Journey to Infinity. Following the screening, we will have a commentary about the mathematics of tessellation, one of the sources of Escher's works, by Japan Tessellation Design Association Representative Yoshiaki Araki, and Kavli IPMU Professor Yukari Ito will answer audience questions.
Using a special app, we invite you to experience the mathematics that influenced Escher's works through your own smartphone or tablet. Admission is free but pre-registration is required. We look forward to seeing you there!
