The University of Tokyo Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU, WPI)
International Mathematical Union (IMU) President and The University of Tokyo Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU, WPI) Professor Hiraku Nakajima and Asian-Oceanian Women in Mathematics (AOWM) President and Kavli IPMU Professor Yukari Ito met with Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc on September 12 in Hanoi.
Nakajima and Ito were joined by Vietnam Mathematical Society President Vu Hoang Linh, Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study Executive Director Le Minh Ha, and International Council of Industrial and Applied Mathematics President Wil Schilders. The group exchanged information and discussed the current situation of mathematical communities across different societies and countries, and support programs for young researchers.
