The 2012 Geometry Prize is awarded to Yukinobu Toda, an associate professor at Kavli IPMU for "The study of the Donaldson-Thomas invariants by stability conditions in derived categories."
Geometry Prize was established in 1987 by the donation of funds by a group of researchers in geometry. This prize is awarded to researchers who have contributed to the development of geometry in a broad sense by obtaining outstanding results.
