The 2013 MSJ Geometry Prize is awarded to Toshitake Kohno, Professor at the University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Mathematical Science, and Kavli IPMU's Principal Investigator for "A series of works in geometric representation theory for quantum groups."

Geometry Prize was established in 1987 by Mathematical Society of Japan (MSJ) and given to researchers who have contributed to the development of geometry in a broad sense by obtaining outstanding results. Kohno is the 3rd recipient of the Geometry Prize at Kavli IPMU, following the 2012's Prize to Yukinobu Toda (Kavli IPMU Project Associate Professor) and the 2011's prize to Kyoji Saito (Kavli IPMU Principal Investigator)

The prize lecture was held on September 25, 2013 at Geometry during the semi-annual MSJ meeting in Ehime, Japan.
