Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU)
On April 4, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Deputy Minister, Yoshio Yamawaki, visited the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU) on Kashiwa campus.
Yamawaki first made his way to the Piazza Fujiwara, where he chatted with Kavli IPMU researchers during tea time. Afterwards, Kavli IPMU Director Hirosi Ooguri gave the deputy minister an overview of the institute's research activities. The two sides then had a discussion about how the institute provides a unique work environment, and the differences between research environments in the US and Japan.
