Overview

Over two days between October 21 (Friday) and October 22 (Saturday) 2016, the University of Tokyo’s Kashiwa Campus will hold a open day under the banner “Kashiwa Knowledge: Discover and Experience.”


NOTE: There is no parking available at the campus. Please use public transport, such as the free shuttle bus. Bicycles are permitted (use designated areas for parking).

The award-winning design of the Kavli IPMU building has been praised for creating a home for scientists that allows people from different countries and working in different fields to get to know one another. Join one of our tours to get a behind-the-scenes look.

Art Exhibition

Kavli IPMU Artist In Residence program resident Norimichi Hirakawa will exhibit his new media arts inspired by his residence at Kavli IPMU.

Particle Fever Film Screening

Come watch the documentary film that follows the lives of six researchers as they search for answers about how our universe was made, and witness moments of scientific breakthrough at the Large Hadron Collider. This film will be shown in English with Japanese subtitles.
