2012 ASJ Young Astronomer awarad to Masayuki Tanaka

The Astronomical Society of Japan announced that the 2012 Young Astronomer Award went to Masayuki Tanaka, a project researcher at Kavli IPMU.

The ASJ annually presents the award up to three young astronomers who are under 36 years old and achieved excellent research result.
Tanaka was awarded for his contribution to “Evolution of stellar population and AGN in distant cluster of galaxies.”
The award ceremony took place on March 21 at the ASJ annual meeting held at Saitama University.
