Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU)
Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (Kavli IPMU) Director Hirosi Ooguri will take part as a panelist in the High Level Talk Session on December 1, as part of the upcoming Tokyo Forum 2022 Shaping the Future.
Tokyo Forum is an annual symposium co-hosted by the University of Tokyo and the Chey Institute for Advanced Studies in South Korea since 2019. The aim of the event is to provide a meeting place for people, including, but not limited to, those in academia, government, business. NPOs, from all over the world. During the event, participants are encouraged to shape, sharpen information and opinions on the solutions to the problems faced by the current world, and on the shape of the world and human society in the future.
This year's High Level Talk Session is titled, ""Dialogue between Philosophy and Science: Towards a New Enlightenment".
Other panelists appearing in the online session along with Ooguri include The University of Tokyo Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia Professor and East Asian Academy for Liberal Arts Director Takahiro Nakajima, University of Bonn Professor and THE NEW INSTITUTE Academic Director Markus Gabriel, Seoul National University Professor of Philosophy Sukjae Lee, and The University of Tokyo Graduate School of Education Professor Sayaka Oki.
Tokyo Forum 2022 will be a two-day event live streamed from The University of Tokyo's Yasuda Auditorium on December 1 and 2. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to register.
